Monterrey, N.L.

This past weekend (8/28/08 - 9/01/08) we (Albert, Al, Liz, Eva, Lala, Angie, AJ and myself) packed into Albert's 3 seater Tahoe and headed South past the Valley and into Mexico with our final destination being Monterrey.

We were going to visit with our family that lives over there, mostly aunts and uncles on my mom's side. The main reason for the trip was to go to Valeria's 15th shin dig otherwise known as a "quinceanera."

The above pictures are of the Sierra Madre and El Cerro de la Silla which are pretty much the identifiers when you see anything to do with Monterrey. I'll continue a couple of individual blogs highlighting the 15th and then the unplanned drive to China (this would be a town in Mexico in the state of Nuevo Leon - NOT the place across the world where the Olympics where just held at) on the way back to the US and a pit stop at La Presa Del Cuchillo (reservoir) in China.
