1st Grade

Sydney began 1st grade last week on August 25th. I think she was just as excited and possibly as nervous as I was being that she is going to a new school (Luna Elementary) from being at Weaver the last 3 years.

I don't think either one of us got any sleep the night before as we were up and ready to do and actually out of the house by 6:50 a.m. that morning. That was record time for both of us. We got off to a good start considering the masses of people that were out and about seeing their kiddos off to school after a long and hot summer.

Sydney did cry a little when she saw that I was attempting to leave, but then a classmate of hers took her by the hand and on they walked down the hall towards their classroom. Here are a few pictures of the morning of....she was patiently waiting with her Dora the Explorer backpack stuffed tight with her new 1st grade school supplies.
