Ike Makes Its Way to North Texas

Thankfully soon after Ike made landfall in Galveston, it downgraded to a tropical storm. By the time it reached us during the course of the day, we've only had some strong winds on and off and a steady rain all day long.

I had every intention of hunkering down all day at my place, but was too lazy to cook so went out to grab some lunch. Then later, I made another outing and went out for some ice cream too.

For all the horrible stuff that had been predicted was coming our way, I'm glad it's been mostly much needed rain.
