Last Texas Pit Stop!

Yesterday North Texas got to experience something that has not happened here since 1997. The Space Shuttle Endeavour rode piggyback aboard a modified Boeing 747 where it landed at NAS JRB at about 3:15 p.m. after a midmorning stop at Biggs Army Airfield at Fort Bliss, in El Paso.

The cross-country ferry is expected to cost more than $1.8 million.
